Q

Why is BACCM important? (and its core concepts)

Business Analysis Core Concept Model

A

These concepts build a mental framework around business analysis
activities
that all BAs can share regardless of their industry, domain, job title
or technology.

Each core concept is an idea fundamental to the practice of business
analysis.

There is **no hierarchy **and no single concept is more important that
any other concept.

These concepts are instrumental to understanding the type of information
business analysts work with.

Q

Requirements vs. Design

A

Both requirement and design appear on the way from the need to the
solution. However, they represent different aspects of that way.
**need -> requirement -> design - > solution **

Q

Why Requirements vs. Design is important?

Why Requirements vs Design is importnat?

A

This is a basic concept model that is helpful to keep in mind when planning
the work and communicating the information.

Sometimes it is hard to distinguish the requirement from the design, and in
many cases you will get them documented, approved and actioned together
(e.g. within one user story).

However, as a BA you need to understand whether you are working on a
requirement or a design
to define the proper tools to use and which
stakeholders to get involved in the process.
