Q

why are there two versions of independent variable in experiment

A

to test if the iv has effect on dv
- for e.g your testing to see if fanta grows trees
- your going to have to use something else like water on your tree
- if you use both Fanta how are you going to know that Fanta is the one that grew the tree?
- if you use two different things you can see which one works

Q

What is operationalise

A

how are we exactly going to measure the dv
for eg you want to measure memory
- that is hard bc memory is not saying how it going to be measured so you gonna have to change it to
-“numbers recalled after 10 mins”
- you have to be exact!
