This is where training is conducted at area of work. Undertaken to improve knowledge, skills and performance at work

This is training conducted out of the work area. This can be at universities, college, training centres. Involves additional qualifications

This is when the employee is shown what they are to do. They are then asked to do it themselves.
They are then examined at the end.

This is where the employee is shown step by step what they’re supposed to do. They are then asked to complete it for themselves. This is then examined

Moving an employee through a series of jobs so they can get a good feel for tasks that are associated with different roles.
