What are case studies?
A
They are rich detailed investigations of an individual or a small group of people usually regarding an unusual phenomenon.

What are advantages of case studies?
A
- Can be used on unusual phenomenons to research behaviour.
- Rich detailed investigations can give us insights and provide more valid data.

What are the disadvantages of case studies?
A
- Case studies are subjective as a lot of them are based on observations. This will affect results through observer bias.
- Sample is not representative so it is not generalisable.
- It is not reliable as it is unusual for it to be replicated as there is low chance the event or phenomenon will occur again.
