Shock Types…
Hypocolemic Cardiogenic Neurogenic to include... *Anaphlactic *Septic
Hypovolemic Shock
Hypo (low) volemic (volume)
There is too much fluid loss from the body, either blood or water, either external or internal.
Cardiogenic Shock
Heart pump failure, or something that is preventing blood from getting where it needs to go.
Neurogenic Shock
An injury to the nervous system such as spinal injuries.
Anaphylactic Shock
An acute allergic reaction.
Septic Shock
A life threatening infection has entered the body either from a foreign state or internal such as a hollow organ rupture.
