A
Uniformly spaced scallops in sediment that form at the shoreward edge (swash zone).

What do cusps result from?
A
A varying combination of accretion at cusp horns and erosion in interjacent cusp bays.

What conditions favour beach cusp formation?
A
Surging, non breaking waves of near normal incidence on steep (usually coarse grained) beaches.
