Patient can rest the foot of the involved LE on the ground for balance, but not for weight bearing.

Patient can bear 50% of full body weight on involved LE. This equals amount of weight borne on a single limb in static standing.

Patient determines amount of weight that will occur on the lower extremity; to the patient’s tolerance.

Patient is permitted full weight bearing on involved LE. Assistive devices are not used to decrease weight bearing, but to maintain balance.
