Purpose of AST
The Purpose of AST is to promote the ethical, cultural, and social development of its members
Where are the ritual services of the sorority found?
Ritual book (used only by the chapter members)
Rededication Ceremony
A ceremony conducted at the beginning of the academic year or at sisterhood retreats to reconnect the membership with our founding principle.
Ribbon Pledging Service
An informal ritual service usually conducted the day invitations to membership are accepted.
Pin Pledging Service
A ritual service conducted to share the values of AST with the new members. New members receive and accept the new member pin as a symbol of their commitment to the Sorority.
Initiation Service
A formal ritual service conducted to share the values of AST with the candidates for initiation. New members receive and accept the Badge as a symbol of their commitment to the Sorority.
Founders Day Ceremony
A ceremony conducted on or near November 4th of each year to honor our founders and their advisors, current and past leaders and members, and share the standards and ideals of the Sorority.
Officer Installation Ceremony
A ceremony Conducted following officer elections to formally welcome the new leaders of the chapter and thank outgoing officers for their service and dedication.
Alumnae Induction Service
A ritual service conducted as chapter members enter the alumnae phase of membership in the Sorority.
