Q
What are the Modelling assumptions in linear programming?
A
Proportionality: a change in the variable results in a proportionate change in the variable’s contribution to the value of the function.
Additivity: the function value is the sum of the contributions of each term. (each decision variable is independent of the others).
Divisibility: The answer can be a fraction, essentially.
Certainty: The coefficients in obj. function and constraints are known and certain.
