He promotes stereotypes of Indigenous people with his pictures by taking off anything unrelated to stereotyped indigenous objects, therefore promoting the idea that indigenous are not a progressive society.

Unconsented display of Indigenous peoples remain in museum; unnecessary large amounts of digging resulting to bones everywhere (e.g sold on eBay), removal of ancestral/human remains from burial lands.

1- That assimilation and civilization is good, implying the idea that indigenous peoples are not (using them as examples of uncivilized people).
2- That only European societies know progress and that Indigenous peoples are primitive.

Attempt to understand patterns in different cultures and the origin of culture traits (spread from one society to another); since Indigenous culture was so different from the rest, Europeans summarized it as a stagnant and empty culture.
