What is radiolucent contrast?
Negative contrast with air or co2
What is radiopaque contrast?
Positive contrast with iodine or barium.
What are the benefits of double contrast?
To see the outline of a structure better and estimates motility and emptying times.
Where should you never put barium?
In a vessel

Hypertonic
How can you give barium?
Straight or with food

Why should you take 4 films for a gastrographic phase?
So the barium falls to different parts of the body to look at different things.
