Week 6 Flashcards
What is the QRS width in Junctional Rhythm?
0.06-0.12 seconds
How does Sinus tachycardia differ from normal sinus rhythm?
QRS rate is >100bpm
p-wave preceded every QRS complex, but may be combines with T-wave at higher rates
What is the HR of junctional tachycardia?
> 100bpm
What is the P-R interval for normal sinus rhythm?
0.12 - 0.20 seconds
What is the QRS rate of junctional rhythm
40 - 60 bpm
What happens to QRS complex with Junctional rhythm?
normal, unless pre-existing intraventricular conduction defect
What is the p wave morphology in normal sinus rhythm?
Upright with rounded morphology
What is considered a normal Q wave?
<0.04 sec
<25% height of succeeding R wave
What does a pathological q wave represent?
that part of the heart has infarcted
- old infarction
What is the QRS rhythm in junctional bradycardia?
<40bpm
Define sinus arrhythmia?
- Rhythm is irregular.
- R-R varies by 0.04 seconds
- Described as regularly irregular
- QRS rate is 60-100bpm
- p wave is upright with normal rounded morphology
- P-R interval is 0.12 - 0.20 seconds
- QRS width is 0.06 - 0.12 seconds
- QRS follows every P wave
- p wave preceded every QRS
T wave follows every QRS
How do you describe the j point?
Junction between the QRD complex and ST segment
What is the rate of accelerated junctional rhythms?
60 - 100bpm
What happens to P waves with Junctional rhythms?
Can be:
- Not present
- Different morphology
- Retrograde
May be present or may be absent
If present:
- Differ in size, shape and direction of normal P’s
What is the QRS rate for normal sinus rhythm?
60-100bpm
