The Three A’s:
Authentication-

Authentication-
First part of the three stage process
Ued to prove that you are who you claim to be (User ID + password usually)
Authorisation-
Authorisation system deciding (looking up) what you are allowed to access
Accounting-
Keeping track of what you have done whilst using the system

What makes Kerberos better than usual user + password authentification?
A
It is a system where the password is never actually trasmited
(Based upon Needham -Schroeder Secret Key Authentication Protocol)

Should you use Hash function for encryption?
A
No it has been broken many times, not useful.
