Q

1 Timothy 6 v 17-19

A

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

I appeal to you for my som Onesimus, who became my son while I was in chains. Formerly he was useless to you, but one he has become useful to both you and me. I am sending him - who is my very heart - back to you.

Q

Hebrews 12 v 1-2

A

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that was before him he endured the cross, and scorned its shame and then sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
