Describe the PROJECT BASED STRUCTURE
Dynamic (has a temporal dimension)
Requires more flexibility
Organised around pockets of resources that are generally held by function, but then assigned to one project at a time, through the leadership of a project manager

Usually are medium-large
Products have a short life cycle and respond to the specific and changing needs of groups of clients

- Flexibility and rapid response
- Attention towards the production and delivery of value to the customer
- Focus on teamwork

- Determining the core process is difficult
- Requires various changes
- Significant training of employees
- Can limit in-depth skill development

- Highly flexible and responsive organisation
- Reduces administrative overhead costs

- Managers don’t have hands-on control over many activities and employees
- Requires a great deal of time
- Risk of organisational failure
- Employee loyalty and corporate culture might be weak
