What are the parts of the scapula
Glenoid cavity, spine, acromion, corcaoid process, infraspinous fossa, supraspinous fossa, subscapular fossa
Glenoid cavity
laterally located concave-oral-like surface, accepts head of humerus in shoulders ball and socket
Spine (scapula)
main part of the projection that crosses in the oblique plane on the posterior part of the scapula
Acromion
lateral tip of the projection that crosses in the oblique plane on the posterior part of the scapula, overhangs the glenoid cavity
Corcacoid Process
hook like structure on the superior lateral edge of the anterior portion of the scapula
Infraspinous Fossa
Main body of the scapula BELOW the spine on the posterior
Supraspinous Fossa
Main body of the scapula ABOVE the spine on the posterior
