Week 5 - membrane trafficking in disease Flashcards
1
Q
What is the function of adaptor proteins?
A
- they recognise and select cargo ensuring specificity.
- also link the coat to the membrane.
- adaptors recognise motifs in the cytolasm domains of membrane proteins.
- adaptor complexes show a precise subcellular localisation.
2
Q
What is AP2?
A
AP2 is a major clathrin adaptor.
3
Q
What 3 things make a COPII vesicle?
A
Cytosol, ATP and GTP.
(remember as CAG)
