Q

How do you find an eigenvalue

A

Det(A-lambda*I) = 0
Determinant ( matrix - lambda x identity matrix) = 0

Then you solve for lambda

Q

What to do if you get a repeated eigenvalue which has an corresponding Eigen plane instead of a vector.

A

You just convert the Eigen plane into I Eigen vector.
You take the vector next to S and T
( add image if you have the chance)
