Manifold?
A pipe that branches onto several paths and has multiple connections
Flex connector?
Used to connect appliances to house pipe.
CSST?
Corrugated stainless steel tubing
Anti seize?
Protects metal parts from corrosion and bonding together
Leak, lock, flow
Check the regulator before installing for this.
Most common kind of meter?
Displacement meter.
Regulator?
Reduces gas from distribution levels (10psi) to house levels (7” WC)
Clothes dryer?
Make sure it vents to the outdoors, not a chimney or attic
Pressure testing?
Pressure test the inside plumbing after inspection, if a leak is found, isolate it using the valve system.
Pilot light?
A small gas fed flame that burns continuously. Used as an Ignition source in gas devices.
Thermocouple sensor?
Electric safety device that dictates whether gas should be let into the atmosphere.
Thermopile?
A series of thermocouples that work together to manage temp in a gas appliance.
Piezo igniter?
A preinstalled inhibition source in an appliance.
Gas cock?
The knob on an over or grill, controls the amount of gas fed through.
Natural draft?
The heat exhaust gases rise through the duct in their own power?
