Describe Nurse & Midwives Act (2011)
- Enhancement of the protection of the public in its dealings with nurses and midwives
- Provide for Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann /
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland - Recognise midwifery as a separate profession
- Provide for the registration, regulation and control of nurses and
midwives - Enhance standards of education, training and competence
- Investigate complaints and increase the public accountability
