A
  1. is the tubing in place?
  2. Is there solution running through it?
  3. Is I connected to a pump?

  5. Is the patient tolerating feedings?
  6. How many feedings are they getting a

Purpose of tube? Is it for feeding or decompression? Consider
having a picture of NG tube like this one and a small bore
feeding tube. Perform abdomen assessment, assessment of
nares, placement, securement, drainage, equipment. Suction
or feeding pump. Labels on feeding? Less than 24 hours?
Consider showing pictures of the suction head that is on the
wall with suction canister. How do you know if you can use the
NG tube? What are nursing interventions related to the tube?
Consider saying feeding or free water instead of solution.
