Name and define the three levels used when analyzing progress monitoring
Trend: overall direction of data points (e.g., increasing, decreasing or zero trend)
Level: indicated by the relationship of the data points with the vertical axis (e.g., high, moderate, low)
Variability: range of data points around the mean
** bonus: Percent of non-overlapping data: points indicating how successful the intervention phase is compared to pre-intervention
What are the requirements to be legally considered to have an intellectual disability?
IQ of 70 or below; origins of disability must be present before age 18; deficits in adaptive functioning skills (e.g., communication, self-care, social skills, employment, etc.)

what is confirmation bias?
tendency to look for and interpret information and data in a way that is favorable toward our own hypothesis of a problem (e.g., referral for ADHD and only looking at behaviors that align with ADHD diagnosis). Good scientists always try to disprove their own hypothesis
what is the purpose of a manifestation determination meeting?
if a behavior violates school code, a review meeting goes over information regarding (1) was the behavior caused by the child’s disability and (2) was the behavior a result of the school’s failure to implement the child’s IEP?
