what is motion sickness identified as?
a disagreement between visually perceived movement and the vestibular systems sense of movement
What are the main challenges in mixing?
Homogeneity difficult to acheive
Overmixing
Demising
What is a positive mixture?
Mixes spontaneously
What is a negative mixture?
Segregates spontaneously
What is a perfect mixture?
Completely homogeneous
Ordered mixture
Small particles absorbed and components move interdependently
What are the 3 different types of mixing?
Connective, shear,
Diffusive
What is the issue with static mixer ?
No moving parts, can cause clumping and powder adhesion
What are granules?
Preparations consisting of solid, dry aggregates of powder particles sufficiently resistant to withstand handling.
Describe wet granulation
- Solution binder is used
- particles are then dried
- Particles are sieved to choose particle size
