Definitive Host

Intermediate host
Harbours larva, immature, or sexual stages of the parasite

Lives on the inside of the body

Route of infection where the parasite is passed across the placenta to an animal in utero
Direct life cycle
Occurs when a parasite is passed directly from one host to another
Indirect life cycle
Occurs when a parasite ingests a paratenic or intermediate host to complete life cycle
