No he returned to Mexico with no gold or silver and they would not send more explorers for 40 years.

Cabeza de Vaca in 1525
What tribe captured cabeza de Vaca?
The karankawa tribe captured him but after he healed a sick tribe member they let him go and he claimed some land for Spain before going back to Mexico City.
What was the name of the monk that Spain sent to find the seven cities and when?
His name was Fray Marcos in 1539. He told everyone in Mexico that the cit was larger than Mexico City and shiny and golden.
Who was Esteban?
He was an African shaman or medicine man that cured the sick in the karankawa tribe. He learned the language of the Indians and performed many hearings. He also helped fray Marcos find the first of the seven cities.
What was the Indians greatest weapon against the spaniards?
Greed, the Spanish loved gold so much that the Indians would trick them into searching for it in far away lands.
What does trustworthy mean?
It is simple it means people can trust you.
What animal did the spaniards introduce to Arizona?
Most Indians had never seen horses and were afraid of them and thought that the horses devoured people.
Who did Coronado send to find the great river in the west and what did he find?
Captain Garcia Lopez de Cardenas and 25 men found the Grand Canyon.
What almost extinct animal was reintroduced into the Arizona forests and who helped them?
The Mexican gray wolf was reintroduced with help from the white mountain Apache Tribe in the Apache Sitgreaves forest. Grey wolves live in packs of 4 to 7 and live in dens 6 to 30 feet under ground.
