Differentiate between Bar charts and Histograms

A

Bar charts represent data values through categorical variables (i.e French, German, etc etc). Height of the bar thus, represents the frequency of the category. Bars do not touch.

Conversely, Histograms represent frequencies of distribution through numerical values i.e quantitative values used with quantitative values - Bars will also touch.

Differentiate between a scatter plot and qualitative line graph

A

Scatterplots: Graphical depictions of the relationship between two quantitative variables.

Line graphs: Rely on drawing of one or more lines connecting data points. Useful for interpreting interactions between quantitative variables.
