Week 1 - Wellbeing Flashcards
Familiarise yourself with the scenario
Chris has had a bumpy first year at medical school, having to adjust to living away from home, trying to find a balance between an increased workload, social and sporting commitments and coming to terms with their identity. After help from QMUL Advice and Counselling service, Chris has now decided they are back on track enough to take on a mentor role as part of the Barts and the London Student Association arm of the QMSU Buddy Scheme. Chris wants to be a good mentor, and also make sure their mentees don’t have similar problems as Chris did in the first year. What professionalism issues and wellbeing strategies should Chris make sure they know about in order to be a good mentor and where can they find this information?
