What are benefits of flexible dentures?
A
- Material doesn’t absorb stains/odours
- Good choice if pt is allergic to acrylic or metals
- Better aesthetics
- Comfortable

What are the clinical steps for flexible dentures?
A
- Take alginate impressions to get study models & determine which soft tissue undercuts can be utilised
- Construct special tray
- Take a secondary impression in PVS or Polyether impression material- use appropriate adhesive!
- Take a jaw relation and shade of tooth
- Send to lab
- Try in
- Finish
- Recall

How can you adjust flexible dentures?
A
Use special bur OR
Place denture in freezer and leave for 20-30 minutes and then adjust with normal acrylic bur

How should flexible dentures be cleaned?
A
- Soak in Val‐Clean for 10‐15 minutes a day, or overnight at least 3x/week.
- Rinse your Valplast Flexible Denture after eating to remove any food particles.
- Keep the partial in water or in denture cleaner whenever it is not being worn to keep the surface hydrated.

Can store bought denture cleaner be used for flexible dentures?
A
No, they may contain ingredients that can damage the Valplast or its colour
