Absence of contamination by disease-causing microorganism
Core Temperature
Regulated by the Hypothalamus. Normal Core temp 98.6F and 37C. Rectum (most accurate) and tympanic area of measure.
Surface Temperature
Ancillary and Oral. 37C and 98.6F
Pyrexia
Body temperature above normal range. Aka Hyperthermia, Febrile and Fever
Lysis
Gradual decline of a fever
Hyperthermia
An unusual high fever. Hyperpyrexia
Tachycardia
Less than 60bpm
Tachycardia
> 100 bpm
Bradycardia
< 60 bpm
Pulse Deficit
Difference between Apical and Radial rate, when assessed at the same time
Arrhythmia
Aka Dysrhythmias. Abnormal heart rate or rhythm
