4 Foundations in Psychology
Biological, cognitive, behavioural and psychoanalytical
biofeedback method
biological response (sitting position, face position etc) affects your mood and others moods because we reflect peoples moods
What happens with physiological needs and brain in a biological manner?
- 70-80% of oxygen goes to your brain, if you eat less it’ll go to your brain more and your stomach digestion process
- Can determine psychological needs through body (thyroid issues, BODY is in panicked state etc)
- DNA doesn’t establish who you are

What is cognitives main focus?
I make my own choices, I can control everything about my own life, and my reactions

Intellectual and psychological aspect of the brain
Gestalt theory
School of thought that looks at behaviour and mind as whole that emphasizes process of patterns and configurations
(Played role in development of modern sensation and perception)

What does psychoanalytic touch on?
- Enforcement of gender norms and roles (girls feel more guilt then boys, and are met with social pressure etc)
- The abused becomes the abuser (never developed an EGO)
- Based off of circumstances that “this is all you are”
