Come up with, e.g. The board of directors came up with an idea to increase EBITDA margin by 10%
To suggest or think of an idea or a plan / to manage to find or produce something that is needed, usually money
Edge someone/something out e.g. Managers in their sixties are being edged out by younger replacements
to defeat or do better than someone or something else by a small amount / to force someone or something out of a place, situation, etc., usually in a way that is not direct or honest
to reap, e.g. you don’t reap the benefits of one idea because you are busy with the next idea
to get something, usually something good, as a result of your actions or other people’s actions
To have a great influence on, e.g. my father had a great influence on me
to have a great influence vs to make a great impression
to reach out (to someone), e.g. the Investor Relations department reaches out to investors to provide them with accurate account of company affairs
to try to communicate with a person or a group of people, usually in order to help or involve them
to report back, e.g. Find out their names and report back to me tomorrow
to bring information to someone in authority
to fill someone on, e.g. I have to fill my superiors in on any updates on the budget
to give someone extra or missing information
to climb the hierarchy, e.g. my goal is to climb the hierarchy and one day become partner
to get promoted
