Q
What is Global Atmospheric Circulation?
A
The cruising altitude (height) of an aeroplane is about 10km above the ground surface. At this altitude the vast majority of the atmosphere’s mass is below you. The atmosphere- the air above our heads- is a highly complex swirling mass of gases, liquids and solids. These include water droplets, water vapour, ash, carbon dioxide and oxygen - just to mention a few!
