Describes weather trends over long periods of time☺️
What is High Pressure?
Air that is more dence. Molecules are close together. Wants to move to low pressure Area✮
What is Low pressure?
Air that is less dence. Molecules are farther apart🫥
What is the Coriolis effect?
The rotation of the earth causes the wind to appear to curve
What is Circulation?
Water and air moving in a circular pattern.
What is Salinity?
The amount of salt in something.
What is rain shadow?
Is another side of a mountain that doesn’t get wet.
What is Climate Zones?
Areas with district climate that can be defined by weather,patterns,on plant and animal communities.
What is Precipitation?
Part of the water cycle, when water falls to the earth as hail, rain, snow or sleet
What is Altitude
The height an object above ground (or sea) level.
What is Latitude
The horizon lines on a map or globe. It measures the amount to north or south from the equator.
What is wind
The movement of air due to uneven heating of the Earth’s surface.
