What is Climate?
Climate is the overall average of a certain place for a long period of time.
What is Weather?
Weather is short-term changes in the atmosphere of a certain place.
What is Circulation?
It is water and air moving in a circular pattern.
What is Salinity?
The amount of salt in something.
High Pressure
Air that is more dense and has tighter molecules that want to move to low pressure areas.
Low Pressure
Air that is less dense and molecules are farther apart.
Coriolis Effect
The rotation of Earth appears to make the wind bend.
Rain Shadow
The side of a mountain that receives little to no rain making it a desert
Climate Zones
Areas with different weather show in weather patterns, latitude, plants, and animals
Altitude
The height of something above sea level
Precipitation
part of the water cycle where water falls in the forms of rain, sleet, hail, or snow.
Wind
The movement of air due to uneven heating
Latitude
North or south of the Equator
