What is climate?
Prevailing weather patterns for a particular region.
What is Radiant Energy?
Energy from the Sun that reaches Earth as visible light or ultraviolet and heat radiation.
What is Latitude?
Geographic coordinate that specifies the north-south position of a point on Earth’s surface.
What is Rotation?
Spin on axis or the spinning of Earth on its axis that causes day or night to occur.
What is Orbit?
Curved path in space that is followed by an object going round and round a planet, moon, or star
What is Convection Current?
A circular movement of fluids caused by the rising of hotter, less dense fluid and the falling of cooler, more dense fluid.
What is Atmospheric Movement?
Global air circulation patterns within the atmosphere that are held to Earth by gravity and warmed as heat radiates from Earth.
What are Ocean Currents?
Surface currents result from steady winds over the ocean surface.
