Q

Think of the layers of gases in the atmosphere like blankets on top of your bed. The more blankets, the heavier they are. Gases in the atmosphere lay on top of the Earth pushing down like blankets. This “push” is called barometric pressure.

Q

You can predict the weather by looking at the clouds in the sky. Some clouds are formed high up and look like feathers. They are called cirrus clouds. Cirrus clouds are white and made up of ice crystals. Sometimes they may be a sign that a change in the weather is coming.
