What is a thunderstorm
A storm charge with electricity producing thunder and lightning. It’s common in the late summer
What is a tornado and how long does it last
Spinning winds (with updrafts and downdrafts) inside of a thunderstorm form a funnel shaped cloud. It lasts only minutes
What is a blizzard? How fast are the winds? How Long does it last?
A blinding snowstorm with very strong cold winds of 40 mph or more that lasts at least three hours
What is a hurricane and how fast are the winds?
A fierce storm with very strong winds of 74 mph or higher and usually heavy rain. It’s also called a typhoon
What are Cirrus clouds?
White wispy clouds at high altitude. Made of ice crystals. When you see them it means there is a change in weather coming
What are cumulous clouds?
They are white puffy clouds at medium altitude. they mean fair weather is coming
What are stratus clouds
Stratus clouds stretch across the sky like a blanket. They are at low altitude and usually bring rain. Fog is a stratus cloud.
