which is worse AIRMET OR SIGMET
SIGMET is always worse as it tells more extreme conditions that apply to ALL aircraft

a computer generated chart based on METAR reports that gives a broad overview of the flying conditions at that time(begins at 01Z and is updated every 3 hours)
what is a surface analysis chart
surface analysis charts depict that weather conditions as they were a few hours earlier, indicated by the time stamped on the chart(developed every 3 hours) reviewing chart gives a picture of atmospheric pressure patterns, location of high and low pressure systems and frontal movements
what is a prognostic chart
it’s a forecast chart (issued 4 times a day) 12and 24 hour weather forecast for a given region. only covers from the surface to 400-millibar(24,000 ft)
