Various usage rules.

A

Three possible verbs that can be used for weather expressions are hacer “to make / to do,” estar “to be (temporary states)” and haber “to have / to be.”
Hacer is followed by nouns.
Estar is followed by adjectives or verb forms (i.e. present participles).
Haber isn’t used in as many expressions, and it is followed by nouns.
To emphasize when you’re talking about weather, follow these rules:
hacer / haber
noun = use mucho “a lot” before the noun
estar
adjective = use muy “very” before the adjective
estar
verb form = use mucho “a lot” after the verb
Conjunctions are small words that can connect parts of sentences together.
The conjunction y “and” changes to e when it comes before words that start with an “ee” sound.
The conjunction o “or” changes to u when it comes before words that start with an “oh” sound.
