Principle 1
A
respect rights, personal dignity, privacy & autonomy of all individuals
* rights to highest quality PT service
* info about PT service
* provide informed conset or refuse treatment

A
- comply w/ law & regulations governing PT practice in practicing country & policies by governing bodies
- PT has right to refuse to intervene/treat or intervene if service is not in best interest of patient
- advocate for patient’s access to PT service if found restricted access to those who have capacity to benefit

A
- accept responsibility for exercise & sound professional judgement
- make independent judgement based on knowledge & skill - develop goal based treatment plans based on accurate assessment etc
- shall not delegate to another health professional or activtity that requires unique skill - PT responsibility to determine most appropriate treatment
- expect cooperation from colleagues– ensure exercising sound professional judgement
