- controlled observation (well lit dark room, mattress on table)
- 1 participant 9 month old little albert

PROCEDURE
A
1) confronted with white rat, rabbit, monkey etc, tested with hammer striking steel bar
2) 11m 3d - white rat presented then bar struck
3) 11m 10d - shown rat with no sound, then x5 joint stimulation (rat and sound)
4) 11m 15d - generalizing to other objects
5) 11m 20d - fresh up + more joint stimulation
6) 12m 21d - santa mask, rat, rabbit, dog, blocks

FINDINGS
A
1) no fear response, hardly cried
2) jumped, fell forward, didnt cry
3) cautious to rat, happy with blocks, distressed after stimulation
4) happy with blocks, fear to rat, cried at rabbit
5) less extreme in new room, happy with blocks, fear stronger to rat
6) whimpered and avoided furry objects
