Have transfers on energy both into and beyond the system boundary but not matter

Matter and energy can be transferred from the system across the boundary into the surrounding environment

Effects of action are amplified by subsequent knock on effects
What is negative feedback?
Effects of action are nullified by subsequent knock on effects
What is dynamic equilibrium?
Balance between inputs and outputs and stores stay the same
What is a cascading system?
Where systems work together to form a chain
