Name three ways to keep our water clean.
A
- Keep rubbish and waste water (sewage) away from rivers to keep them free of disease.
- Don’t pour chemicals, oils, paints or toxic substances down drains, or into the toilet, or into lakes or rivers.
- Take part in community clean-ups.

How can we save water?
A
- Fix leaking taps, or collect water from leaking ones to use.
- Never leave taps open.
- Shower instead of bathing, or use less water in the bath.
- Use less water to flush the toilet.
- Don’t use running water to wash-up, rather use a basin.
- Use leftover bath and washing up water to flush the toilet.
- Don’t run the tap until the water cools down or heats up. rather keep water in the fridge,.
- Don’t leave the tap running while you brush your teeth.
- Ask the town council to repair any leaking pipes.

- Use less water.
- Recycle water for other uses where possible, e.g. To flush the toilet.
- Consider the chemicals we flush down our drains or toilets.
- Keep polluting chemicals away from our water sources by getting rid of them in the proper places.
