Cause - Hostilities in Europe (Austrian War of Sucession) (Barnet seized French Ships in India).
Outcome - ToAix la Chapelle(1748).
Significance - Mehfooz Khan was beaten by a small French Army.
2nd Carnatic War :
Date - (1749 1754)
Cause - Passing of Nizam-ul-Mulk & Release of Chand Sahib.
Alliance - DCM & RAN
Outcome - Battle of Ambur(1749), EIC and French agreed not to intervene in Indian matters
3rd Carnatic War :
Date - (1758 - 1763)
Cause - Seven years war (Austria sought to retake Selisia)
BoWandiwash won by EIC under Genral Eyre Coote aganist Count Lally.
