see during Spring migration; like the ground (unlike other warblers)

migration; they do breed as far south as the mountains; males are brighter

migration; almost never stop moving, catch insects midair
Orange crowned warbler
migration; winter towards the coast and more south;
shrubby areas; like berries; rarely see the orange on head; eastern and western version

migration; may winter along coast in swampy forests; climb upa nd down trees

almost always near water; look similar to ovenbird and louisiana waterthrush; have long legs; breast may look a little yellow

plump (often mistaken for thrushes bc of size)

Tennessee warbler

non-descript; does not live in TN, only migrates
northern parula
breeding
live in forests with spanish moss; like tops of trees; give you
“warbler neck”
Magnolia warbler
migration; travel far south
look for a white patch near the base of the tail and black tail-feather tips. Males have a black mask and white eyebrow, while females have a less-prominent gray cap.
