‘Spools of suffering’ … ‘ordered rows’

- He sets out the film in spools of suffering in ordered rows
- This may be an attempt to restore order to the chaotic images
- Battles inner conflict as he feels horrible for witnessing what he has without being able to help
- But this is also his job

‘Did not tremble
A
-Photographers hands are shaking but when taling the photos they did not tremble
Suggests that in order to do his job in the field he must be able to distance himself from the surroundings
This shows inner conflict as when in the dark room he allows himself to react to the suffering he was forced to record

‘What someone must’
A
- He feels his job is a calling rather than a career
- Causing inner conflict as he feels what he is seeing is wrong and is aware of the intrusiveness of his occupation
- He is clearly a man filled with deep compassion and sensitivity
