What are militiamen?
A small non-formal army/ people whoa re willing to band together and fight.
Why couldn’t the British be rescued in Yorktown?
They were being trapped by the Continental Army on land and French Naval ships on water.
What was so important about the battles of Lexington & Concord?
It is where the “shot heard around the world” took place and was the beginning of the American Revolution.
When was the beginning of the American Revolution?
April 19, 1765
What was General Washington’s war strategy?
To avoid major battles because they didn’t have the resources to win/ to goon defense and tire out the British.
What did the Proclamation of 1763 state?
Colonists couldn’t move west of the Appalachian Mountains.
What were the results of the French and Indian War?
British had a lot of debt.

The document that ended the French and Indian War.

The document that ended the american Revolution.

The British and the Indigenous people.
What was the goal of the Sons of Liberty?
To get people to join their fight for independence/ to rebel against Great Britain
What was the Stamp Act?
It required the colonist to buy a stamp for all paper items.
Why were the colonists mad?
They were mad about taxation without representation .
What happened to the Stamp Act?
It was repealed but soldiers were sent to the colonies to show them who had the power.
What was the Quartering Act?
It forced the colonists to house soldiers and provide them with basic necessaries.
