What is the Rationale for treatment of angina pectoris and how to achieve it?

A

To improve the balance between myocardial oxygen demand and supply:
A. Coronary vasodilators: Increase blood flow to myocardium by dilating coronary arteries (improve supply)
B. Drugs that reduce work load of the heart (Decrease oxygen demand by reducing cardiac work)
