Clinical features:
- itchy ++
- erythematous
- diffuse
- flexural: present on the thinnest skin
- worse in winter (dry) and summer (heat)
Family history is important
What is a genetic mutation associated with atopic aczema?
Filaggrin mutation, which leads to reduced barrier function on the skin.
What is lichenification of eczema?
Increased skin markings due to chronic rubbing/ scratching of dermatitis
What is discoid eczema and how can you treat it?

• Eczema in annular disc like patches
• Respondsto potent
