A

Stage 2: 1870 – 15th amendment: protected any citizen from being denied suffrage because of race or color or previous servitude
Stage 3: 1920 – 19th amendment gave women suffrage
Stage 4: 1960’s – Voting Rights acts/24th amendment (eliminating poll taxes)
Stage 5: 1971 – 26th amendment gave 18 yr olds suffrage
